Constance Holiday: Hollywood Nurse
Labapalooza, St Ann’s Warehouse
A dark musical puppetry portrait of Tinseltown.
Registered nurse, Cynthia Adams moves from Iowa to Los Angeles to help people and become a star. Through a series of misadventures: her first roommates – twin scientology zealots: Connie & Bonnie, meeting Sunny Sparkles – the infamous Hollywood agent to the stars, her surgical physical transformation, changing her name to Constance Holliday, falling madly in love with Antonio Rivera – resident MD at prestigious Wine Valley Hospital, his tragic decapitation in a freak car crash on Mulholland Drive, and her eventual downfall into delusion, drug abuse, prostitution, pornography, and on and on. Then more.
