Homopropaganda explores daring perspectives on mediatized queer identity and political engagement through a series of performative public actions. Guised as a political marketing campaign Homopropaganda extolls the multiple benefits of the queer lifestyle encouraging bystanders to join and celebrate. The project assumes the preconceptions and prejudices of homophobia, satirizing them via comic reductio ad absurdum. Performers engage audiences from a pop-up cart on NYC sidewalks while barnstorming for the adoption of queer identities.
